ImageBlock Studio is an artistic cooperative between the husband and wife team of Noah and Lori Klocek. Located in Petaluma, California, ImageBlock Studio strives to bring imagination, skill and passion to all their projects.
Noah Klocek was born in Neptune New Jersey to artist parents who encouraged him to draw but discouraged him from pursuing a career in the arts. Thankfully the discouragement didn’t work and after trying every thing from wildlife biology to paramedic training Noah decided to go to school at San Jose State and pursue a career in art. Near the end of school Noah had the opportunity to apprentice as a matte painter ILM (Industrial Light and Magic). Following a year at ILM, Noah spent two years as a Matte Painter at PDI/Dreamworks. In search of new challenges, Noah was lucky enough to find a place at Pixar Animation Studios. Noah is currently working as an Art Director at Pixar Animation Studios.
Lori Klocek was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California. Her love and talent for art emerged at a young age. Drawing, painting, sculpture, Lori loved creating all forms of art. While in college she began a career as a Graphic Designer, but didn't truly feel she had found her calling until she transferred into the Animation/Illustration program at San Jose State University. Shortly before graduating Lori began her tenure at Pixar Animation Studios where she worked on The Incredibles, Ratatouille and Wall-E. Lori is currently devoting her time to ImageBlock Studio.
